Fully Automatic Manufacturing Cell with Litz LU-620

Reproducible

Kappler often processes integral components with a high degree of material removal and the highest demands for accuracy, axis alignment, and surface quality. Axon’s fully automatic manufacturing cell was able to prevail against renowned competitors in terms of accuracy and reproducibility during the investment phase.

A significantly increased productivity gain through five-axis technology, combined with a high degree of automation and the associated reproducible accuracy, now ensures highly economical production.

At our customer Kappler Fertigungstechnik, we have installed a manufacturing cell with the following key features:

  • Litz LU-620 with Siemens 840 Dsl
  • 220 tools
  • 6-fold pallet storage

Highly Productive

The magazine for workpiece pallets contains pallets measuring 400 x 400 millimeters, on which clamping devices for one or more workpieces are mounted. Depending on the processing and cycle times of the individual workpieces, the flexible manufacturing cell automatically and autonomously processes its workload over one or more shifts. Since the loading of raw parts and the removal of finished parts occur parallel to the main processing time, this highly integrated flexible manufacturing cell can be operated highly productively around the clock if required.

Unbeatable Price-Performance – Shortest ROI

The investment in two fully automatic cells from Axon is unbeatable in terms of price and performance. The cell clearly distinguishes itself from competitors by its investment cost, allowing us to assume an ROI of less than two years.
